RECORD SETTING DAY YUVEE04 STYLE

Most of use wont even final table an ftop, finish top 3, or even take one down... But Yuvee has now done this three times... and twice in one day! A near impossible feat and a great reward for a less than stellar summer.

$175,000 day, 2 titles, one record for most FTOPS won by a single person, another record for winning 2 FTOPS in one day and the pleasure of owning 3 gold jerseys :)

CONGRATS YUVAL, you're a dream crusher for all those others who thought they had a shot!

James

Viva Las Vegas!!!

Well....... H.o.r.s.e.'s run at the World Series of Poker has been full of bad beats, suck outs, good friends and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, our visit to Las Vegas is coming to an end.
The poker highlights include some friends cashing and one bracelet, in a h.o.r.s.e. event none the less.  We were able to hit up a couple of shows, La Reve was amazing, and lot's of outlet shopping.
My success is limited and includes MANY free meals, thanks to the credit card games, a break even poker record and a few dollars won in the nightly chinese poker games.
We will finish up our trip driving up through the west coast. Not much poker is planned, but I'm sure we will find something to gamble on. Hopefully the drive isn't as long and hopefully I'm alive for more of the sights, how could I really miss Disneyland, golf and Alcatraz.

On a side note I'm trying to think of some ideas for a bachelor party. Does anyone have a good game to play or something, anything?!?!?!?

Bracelet found!

i know i know.. most of you were hoping I would have a glorious story of a final table, but no such luck in this event. More importantly, Jens Voertmann, a new found friend in Vegas won event #22, the 3K h.or.s.e. and was proudly wearing one of our patches during his star studed table! Congrats Jens!!

Bracelet Bound

As some of you already know, our road trip down to vegas was a little more eventful than we had planned... 7 hours the wrong way, 3 speeding tickets, a small amount of vomiting courtesy of AJ, and 1 Evil Knievel jump site had us in Vegas 28 hours later than we had left.

And now that we are here its a whole lot of poker, pool parties and senseless prop betting that could see one of us being forever indebted to another. Here are a few of the highlights thus far:

- Leif took down event #3 at the ventian deep stack for $40K as well as had a shallow cash finish in wsop event#7 for a few K.
-Yuval finished 36th in wsop event #13 for $14K, and had a few runs in other events so far.
- our hot tub water has turned a neon yellow color.. me thinks Joey went #1 in it, but hes not sayin much.
- The first round of golf went particulary well for Ricky, offering everyone strokes on the first tee and having them decline meant he would be forever in the black and could play less than his best ;) $10 skins, $5 KP's,  Birdie bonuses and multipliers... Rick = $140, everyone else = $0
-after 15+ sng's for tournament chips between all the fellas in the house, Maymay was the first to cash... gross. I would have beat him to this feat if I could avoid one outers and cardracks ;)
-Myself and Jens Voertmann, a new found friend and Fulltilt pro, decided to give Yuval a clinic in chinese for $10 a point... James =$600 Jens =$200 Yuvie =$ - Laaaats!
-We decided to hit up the rippers for Joeys birthday too... uhh, yea... nothing happened... really... you believe me right? ;)

Well, I'm off to play wsop event #24, 2.5K PL HA.. Hoping to run like GOD ;)

pura vida,

Lilac Festival

The 90th annual Lilac Festival was held here in Calgary on Sunday (May 24). Actually I don't know what number-th it was but it probably wasn't 90th. Maybe closer to fourth or something. Anyways, it was a magical event, if your definition of a magical event involves snow, rain, gale force winds and temperatures so low it would make a penguin say "man, these temperatures sure are low." Of course, being eternal optimists we didn't have a tent so a few shirts got a free wash early on before James brought us shelter....for some reason sales were low at that point.

Calgarians being the hearty Norsemen they are (except those who aren't Norse, or men, but still hearty) showed up to save the day, mostly by buying a bunch of our stuff. So all things considered, things were pretty decent and support was strong, so thanks to everyone who was brave enough to test their mettle against the vicious elements. Thanks to the organizers too. But maybe next time have heaters ready to go for late May; this IS Calgary after all.

The worst part was that James and I went up to Edmonton to spread our unique brand of awesome (check out Syndicate and Colourblind if you work up the willpower to go there; if you're already there, I'm sorry, so, so sorry). It was beautiful and sunny there. The waterslides were awesome too and there was a distinct lack of waterslides at Lilac. Another idea for next time, organizers.

A Fresh Start

Now that horse is online, I would like to make my first contribution.....
I was fortunate enough to represent H.o.r.s.e., with James and Mayhood a.k.a. MayhoodXXX a.k.a. Bryan Haywood a.k.a. Mike, at the very first WPT Canada event at the River Rock in Vancouver. Unfortunately, we have no results to report except for some bad beats and I just won't get into that.I would, however like to congratulate Ron Campbell who finished 5th in the $1000 event, making the very first televised final table for WPT Canada. You will notice that Ron is sporting one of our lowgo tees. Thanks for the support Ron and keep up the good work!
What a great start to the summer and I hope that the Syndicate can keep the ball rolling with some results(hopefully bracelets) at the WSOP.
